Leona is an elegant minimalist clutch, every woman needs a really great statement piece in their wardrobe and Leona is definitely an eye catching handbag to show off at your business meetings or with your friends. Only three pieces were made in this design and beautiful iridescent color leather. We chosen a different name for every single design, all of them inspired by many important Mexican women through history. The name of this bag is Leona, inspired by Leona Vicario who was one of the first women journalist in México, born in February 1789, she joined the secret society of Los Guadalupes that worked in favor of the Mexican Independence, at the early age of 20 she sold all her properties and belongings that her parents had given her, so she could purchase weapons and food for the Insurgents. She wrote reports in code for the newspaper "El Ilustrador Americano", but at the age of 24 Leona Vicario was captured and threatened with life in prison if she did not betray her comrades, Leona chose life in prison; with an ingenious plan her people soon rescued her and continued to defend her national project next to her husband. Leona Vicario died in 1842.

100% leather.
